Nowadays ya'll have email, I had 8 familygrams of 20 words. Cold because of metal in COLD water, made my ex a quilt for his bunk. Now I'm a postal worker and I deliver mail in housing on Saturdays. And yeah, I mean, we could go hunt more rabbit to get more fur...but right now they're a super-special item in my stash and I want to be 100% on what to do with them before scissors go anywhere close!

if you want, you can email me! I'm also jealous that they have the funds to buy every fabric that catches their eye. But I try not to covet their stash tooooo much! I work with what I have, and having such a tiny stash (in comparison to some) means I have to think harder about whether or not I want to start another project!

Right now the smallest scraps (and those of an odd shape) are in a shoebox. The ones that could be considered "fat quarter" size (roughly; it's kind of an arbitrary decision on my part) are ironed and folded neatly, and stored in the 3-drawer cart next to my sewing table. Yardage is on the shelf. I hardly threw anything out--only some frayed ends or stuff that wouldn't be feasible to sew even by hand. submariner's wifehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08507899687250772714noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1077976775710830214.post-34418105247016730952013-01-29T16:01:06.756-05:002013-01-29T16:01:06.756-05:00Oh my! I've been putting it off, but I too have been moving into and arranging a new sewing room. (and you are much better about ironing scraps, which I sadly don't do until I need them) How do you store your scraps?Lemon Standhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05963800782047571734noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1077976775710830214.post-22940126670101017652013-01-24T12:10:57.433-05:002013-01-24T12:10:57.433-05:00I think since it's our first deployment, neith...I think since it's our first deployment, neither of us are quite sure what to expect (on the personal side of things, we know how the military works).
